About Us
We are a family passionate about nature and free life. In 2016 we decided to purchase our first Alentejo Mastiff with Pedigree which we called Cacau. We liked the litter and the parents so much that, after a week, we decided to go and get a dog that is Migas. We placed them with other animals and were passionate about the relationship they have with other beings and their temperament towards us.
Being passionate about
animals and nature makes us have different types of animals in free
life.
We chose to dedicate ourselves to Alentejo Mastiff because our space
is fenced with 2 meters and even then some animals started to appear
dead (chickens, turkeys, geese and ducks).
We investigated and discovered that they were foxes that came to
dinner at our house.
We studied several types of solution and the one we chose was the
acquisition of dogs that could get along with all types of animals
and that at the same time protected them.
The best Portuguese breeds for this role are Estrela Mountain Dog,
Alentejo Mastiff and Transmontano Cattle Dog.
We decided on Alentejo Mastiff because they are of short hair and
because of their constitution and variety of colors that could be
selected.
We started introducing
Cacau and Migas to our sheep, pigs and poultry and we stopped having
problems with foxes.
