The characteristic we most admire in the Alentejo Mastiff is the
ability to connect with other animals, establishing bonds of
friendship and protection.
I note that although they like many animals they have a tendency to
separate animals prey from predators by not leaving the latter to
enter their territory.
Another characteristic that I find very typical is that they do not
like animals to fight, separating roosters, pigs etc. whenever there
is a more tense situation.
Although they are large and like to have their territory and space,
they are very sweet dogs that like pampering and attention from
their owners.
